Hi my name is Brendan Cooper, welcome to my website. I am 11 years old and I love Motocross. I have moved up a group from the 65cc to the SW 85cc this year. I ride a small wheel 85 cc KTM 2009 model. I am a member of South West Motocross Club (SWMX). I have been racing since I was 7, I started out in the auto group where I raced 6 meetings and then moved up to the 65cc group.
In 2008 on my 65cc I was a member of SWMX Club and Cornwall Schoolboy Scramble Club (CSSC). In July 2008 I came off my bike at Holsworthy and received a Greenstick fracture to my right arm, however in the summer series I still managed to hold onto 2nd overall in SWMX and 3rd overall in CSSC. I have represented SWMX in the annual Team Event held the last 4 years at Bromyard in Worcester, I raced 3 years on my 65cc and I have just raced this year on my 85cc.
In June 2009 at Landrake, I had another off and received a bad break to the top of my right arm,
I was out for 9 weeks and came 4th overall in the SWMX Club Champs.
I have had a good first year on my 85cc, in the summer I along with approx 40 others qualified for the BSMA Nationals and attended the Semi-finals which were held at Crediton where I qualified 4th place to go to the Finals in Culham, this was not a good weekend, the weather was dreadful and in the practice I came off and got hit, biting my tongue badly. Hopefully this year will be better!!
My Dad keeps my bike going and my Mum Marshalls on race days, my two sisters come and support me.
